I have purchased a property in Bangalore in 2006 & have all the legal documents in my name. Suddenly BDA people wants to fence my property without any prior notice. I wanted to know that how can I confirm the legal ownership? Can I take stay order and how long will this be valid? I am not aware of the legal proceedings and so I do not know if I am in safe hands.

You can file a suit or writ petition against BDA from interfering with your possession of the property and to restrain them from taking over the possession of the property without following due process of law or in the alternative you can file a suit on the basis of your title before the civil court in Bangalore.
